Guided motorcycle tour

Length: 11 days


Day 1: MARSEILLE / SAINT REMY DE PROVENCE (75 km)

Arrival at Marseille Provence airport in the afternoon.  Welcome by France on Wheels staff.
Rental formalities, then you will ride toward St Remy de Provence. City tour and hotel accomodation.

Day 2: ST REMY / AVIGNON / GORDES / ST REMY (180 km)

After breakfast, departure for a short trip till Avignon followed by a sightseeing tour including the legendary XIVth Century Pope’s Palace. Road back to Lourmarin, Alpilles Mountains till St Remy via superb Baux de Provence village.

Day 3: ST REMY / ARLES / CARCASSONNE (260 km)

This morning departure towards Arles (Roman city), Aigues Mortes, Sete and Agde. Then road toward Beziers to reach fantastic old medieval city of Carcassonne. 
City tour with a local guide then accommodation in a good 3*** hotel.

Day 4: CARCASSONNE / SARLAT  (407 km)

Superb and twisting roads await you today. Road to Castres then Millau and its amazing bridge. Afternoon trip through Sarlat la Caneda with a stop in famous Rocamadour old town before arriving in one of gastronomic region of France, the Perigord.
                                    
Day 5: SARLAT / TOURS  (385 km)

A “transit day” to reach the Loire Valley Castle, passing by cities such Périgueux, Angouleme, Poitiers (possible stop at Futuroscope Park)

Day 6: TOURS / CHENONCEAUX / CHAMBORD/ PARIS (290 km)

Full day ride in World known Loire Valley Castles with visit of Chenonceau, Cheverny  and Chambord Castles. Proceed to Paris in late afternoon.

Day 7: PARIS (40 km)
 
Morning Paris City tour with your tour leader. Afternoon at leisure for personal visit, museum, shopping, etc…

Day 8: PARIS / SANCERRE / BEAUNE (395 km)

Morning road on famous Nationale 7 (The French Route 66!) to reach Sancerre, well known for its wine and goat cheese. Proceed to Morvan Mountains and Burgundy toward Beaune and its famous “Hospices de Beaune”.

Day 9: BEAUNE/ BURGUNDY VINEYARDS / BEAUJOLAIS / LYON (225 km)

Morning Hospices de Beaune visit then road with wine tasting in Burgundy vineyards. Passing by Beaujolais region to reach Lyon in the afternoon. Old town visit by foot.

Day 10: LYON / ALPS MOUNTAINS / AIX EN PROVENCE (407 km)

You will discover the Alps Mountains with the Vercors and the Devoluy areas. Proceed to Haute Provence sunny region, passing by Sisteron to reach Aix en Provence in late evening.

Day 11: AIX EN PROVENCE / MARSEILLE / DEPARTURE                                   

Depending on departure flight, morning short ride to drop off your bikes in our office located close to Marseille airport.
