Length: 9 days
Day 1: LYON / CHAMONIX (230 kms)
Meeting in our Lyon office and welcome from our staff. Formalities and rental contract signed by all riders
Our tour leader will ride a motorcycle and one of our staff wille drive a minibus for your luggage, for a more comfortable trip. Departure to Chamonix passing by Annecy and the Bauges Mountains.
Day 2: CHAMONIX / ANDERMATT (310 kms)
Departure toward Switzerland and a first pass, the Forclaz Mountain Pass (1526m) to reach Martigny, then Sion and Crans Montana. Continuation in direction of Brig, Oberwald and Gletsh, the Susten Pass, and finally the little picturesque village of Andermatt. We suggest you to climb a last pass today, the Fourca Pass that enables you to see the majestic glacier, spring of the Rhone river.
Day 3: ANDERMATT / SANKT ANTON am ARLBERG (300 kms)
Ride till Altdorf then Weesen and Walenstadt along the Walen Lake. Continuation toward Vaduz, capital of the Liechtenstein and Dornbirn.
In the afternoon, you will ride on beautiful roads before reaching Sankt Anton.
Day 4: SANKT ANTON am ARLBERG / BAVARIA CASTLES/ INNSBRUCK (220 kms)
Departure for Germany and the Fussen region to visit its famous Castles: Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein, located in Bavaria. Return in Austria and continuation until Innsbruck.
Day 5: INNSBRUCK / HEILIGENBLUT (200 kms)
Today, road through the Austrian Tyrol toward Zell am See then the Grossglockner high alpine road. Arrival in Heiligenblut area. Situated at the northwestern edge of Carinthia at the border with East Tyrol and Salzburg, Heiligenblut is located in a high valley of the Alpine Hohe Tauern mountain range at the foot of the Grossglockner, the highest mountain in Austria, and the Pasterze Glacier.
Day 6: HEILIGENBLUT / DOLOMITES MOUNTAINS / NOVA LEVANTE (315 kms)
Early departure around toward Tolmezzo by the Möll Valley until Iselsberg and its Pass. You will cross the border to reach the city of Tolmezzo, entrance door of the Dolomites Mountain region. Continuation toward Cortina d’Ampezzo. In the end of the afternoon, arrival in Nova Levante in the Trentino Alto Adige.
Day 7: NOVA LEVANTE / STELVIO PASSE / CHIAVENNA (270 kms)
Direction of Switzerland and the mythic Passo dello Stevio, one of the most highest of Europe at 2757 meters with 48 numeroted hairpin bends. Continuation toward Zernez then St Moritz. In the end of the afternoon, arrival in Chiavenna
Day 8: CHIAVENNA / BRIG (270 kms)
Direction of the Passo della Spluga who enable you to entrance in Switzerland by a narrow way. Continuation toward Bellinzona then Locarno, on the Maggiore Lake shore. You will ride on a beautiful road along the Maggiore Lake until Verbania. Proceed toward Domodossola then border crossing: you are in Switzerland again! Arrival in Brig after passing the Passo del Sempione (the famous Simplon pass!).
Day 9: BRIG / LYON (340 kms)
Departure for Martigny then road to the north toward Monthey and arrival on the Leman lake shore. Continuation until Thonon-les-Bains via Evian-les-Bains by a nice road along the Leman Lake. Proceed in direction of Annemasse before taking the highway until Lyon. Motorcycle drop off in our local office in late afternoon.
