Day 1: Saturday: MARSEILLE / BARCELONETTE (PRA LOUP) (170 km)

Arrival in the morning in Marseille Provence Airport. Welcome by France on Wheels staff and your tour guide - Transfer toward motorcycle rental office - Formalities for rental contracts. One motorcycle tour guide will open the roads for clients safety and comfort. We plan also  a driven support minibus for your luggage + a spare bike on a trailer in case of hypothetic problem! After lunch on your own, you will start your journey, taking the roads to the Alps Mountains. Departure from Nice with a nice road. Crossing the Mercantour Park before reaching Barcelonnette or nearby Pra Loup ski resort. 


Day 2: Sunday: PRA LOUP / CHAMONIX

Early departure for one impressive day, with itinerary carefully chosen to takes some of the highest passes in France and reach the famous city of Chamonix, at magnificent Mont Blanc footsteps!
Road to Vars Pass the the superb Queyras Valley to climb Isoard pass (2361m) to arrive in Briançon for a coffee stop and a short walk in this old Vauban fortified town. Proceed to Lautaret Pass (2058m), Galibier Pass (2646m) to reach Maurienne Valley. Then, road to Bonneval sur Arc before another great pass, the Iseran (2764m!) in order to arrive in Val d’Isère. Short tour of Val d’Isere with coffee break. Road to Bourg St Maurice, Cormet de Roseland Pass (1967m), Beaufort, Les Saisies pass (1650m) and arrival at Notre dame de Bellecombe then Megève, St Gervais les Bains before reaching Chamonix in late afternoon,


Day 3: Monday: CHAMONIX / ANDERMATT

Short ride to arrive in Switzerland via a first pass, the Forclaz Pass (1526m) to reach Martigny in Valais area then Sion and Crans Montana.

Coffee break in this famous Swiss resort. We follow our trip to Brigg, Fiesh. Proceed to Oberwald and Gletsh to discover the super landscapes of Rhone Glacier, on very scenic roads that will bring you to Boden, Nessenthal, Färnigen and finally in Andermatt small and picturesque village. We will limb the tremendous Fourca Pass in late afternoon (depending on weather conditions). Accommodation in a charming village, Andermatt.


Day 4: Tuesday: ANDERMATT / LUGANO
(226 km)

Morning departure around 09.00 am for OberAlp Pass (2044m), Flims Dorf,  before turning right to climb the San Bernardino Pass (2065m).
Stop in San Bernardino for your lunch. Proceed to Bellinzona and Lugano Lake that you will reach in mid-afternoon. Leisure time to discover this famous resort, Lugano.


Day 5: Wednesday: LUGANO / STRESA
(225 km)

Today, you will discover Italy and the famous Italian Great Lakes area!
Departure for north bank of Lugano Lake toward Come Lake and city of Lecco then city of Como. You will discover superb Como Lake, surrounding by mountains. Proceed to Varese then amazing Maggiore Lake to reach superb Stresa town. As you will have some times to discover this famous resort, we suggest you a little cruise to world known Borromeo’s Islands.


Day 6: Thursday: STRESA / NICE
(363 km)

Morning departure around 08h00 for a transit road to reach French Riviera.
Passage through Biella, Torino to reach Cuneo for your lunch time in late morning.
Short tour of Cuneo in order to purchase Italian food specialities. Proceed to Tende Pass to reach France, on very scenic and twisting roads. Arrival on French Riviera in the afternoon and short tour in Monaco to discover famous Jet Set small city. Proceed to Nice  and we suggest you a typical dinner on your own in the Old town after a short foot walk and overnight stay.


Day 7: Friday: NICE / VERDON GORGES
(270 km)                                                     

A fantastic day is scheduled today with some amazing panoramas and superb twisting roads in Nice and Provence backcountries! A great trip to end your journey in the Alps Mountains. Departure to Mercantour National Park through Touet S/Var, Valberg then St Julien du Verdon. Then afternoon road to reach the last magnificent spot of this fantastic day, the Verdon Gorges. Proceed to Castellane and Moustiers Sainte Marie.

Day 8: Satuday: VERDON GORGES / MARSEILLE (170 km)

Departure around 08h30 to reach the highways through Aubagne and Marseille to reach motorbike rental offices. Bikes drop off in the office, rental contracts return (and deposit). Transfer to Aix en Provence TGV station or Marseille Provence airport for lunch time and your return flight.
